Visualise the simple beauty of a stationary raindrop, a small and glistening droplet that instead of falling, remains in a state of suspended animation.

Javier Herrero imagined and designed the Raindrop pendant, its suspended shade made using strips of wood veneer that contain a glowing ball. Available in small and medium sizes, the Raindrop’s form is playful and poised. It is a light that will hang gracefully by itself and is especially pleasing and engaging when arranged in a group formation.

Valencia-born Javier Herrero spent a year at the Politecnico di Milano, where he studied with acclaimed designers Enzo Mari and Massimo Morozzi to complete his FPC. He graduated as an Industrial Design Engineer from the CEU Cardenal Herrera University in 2003, and subsequently read Fine Arts at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Javier’s first design studio was named Ebualà, a venture he established in 2004 with three university colleagues. In 2009, Javier decided to go it alone and set up Javier Herrero Studio.
